This week’s poll has to do with Project 365. You’ve probably heard of it by now, but a Project 365 is a project in which you take (and post) a photograph every single day of the year. In the end you will have taken at least 365 photographs — one for each day.

Working on one now, though I did not start it on January 1st. Two months gone and finally it's a habit, but that doesn't mean that some days I am not desperate to shoot something before I go to bed! I welcome comments and thoughts, as I am doing this to learn and push myself.

Tried a project 50 once: 50 days, one picture per day with a 50mm lens. Couldn't make it past day 10, and not every picture was shot on a different day...

Now I started a project 52: one picture per week. This should be manageable, but hey, I only posted 1 picture up till now! ;)

I started my 1st Project365 on the 1st of 2010 - until now I'm really excited and it already changed viewing. You are always looking for cool shots and therefore I'm way more focused whats going on around me

Yeah... I started one this year on the first, starting with some NYE portraits at a party... And failed the next day. Seems like I just can't get off my butt every day to photograph something exciting, or I don't find myself inspired.

Maybe I'll convert it to a Project 52, who knows.

I think it's a waste of time and the whole concept tends to make people shoot rubbish shots because they 'have to' shoot, rather than wanting to shoot and doing so creatively.

Not exactly a 365 project, but I have been taking "almost daily" iPhone GPS photos in my neighborhood while on dog walks for the past 15 months. Seasonal plant changes, weather & other subjects have been sent to two Earthscape.com accounts. Good point. I haven't technically done a 365, but I have posted more than 1,000 images every single day from 2006 to 2008 on my photoblog.

And 2000 consecutive posts is a lot! Kudos.

I guess it could start whenever as long as you do 365 days, but most people would want to start on the 1st to make it a calendar year project.
