Yeah, I think the relationship between Gaga and Polaroid is reciprocal. Both want to be hip and iconic, and have been successful with creating a media buzz (we're buzzing, at least).

$699 is a pretty tough price — and you'll need 10 of them to link 10 cameras! I wonder if PocketWizard will make a cheaper version.

First reaction…Polaroid instant camera? Totally insane.

Second thought… Brilliant!
There's definetely a market for being able to produce a hard copy photo on the spot. Not just for grandma or jr's first steps, but even professional applications, as a compliment to regular DSLR weaponry.
They just need to do a better design – vertical format like a large P&S format with the photo sliding out from the bottom, LCD back display and decent lens…and no 'Vista Cruiser' woodgrain please.

I think the Lady Gaga move is more a publicity stunt rather than a strategic move (I guess maybe that's obvious though).

The MSRP of those Wireless File Transmitters for Canon are pricey at $699. I wonder how fast the price will come down once they hit the shelves.
