Here are the results of the poll we started a few weeks ago:

What do you do with your digital photographs? (Check all that apply)

  • Nothing (103 Votes)
  • Make cheap prints (97 Votes)
  • Make quality prints (170 Votes)
  • Post them online (477 Votes)
  • Make something creative (173 Votes)
  • Other (74 Votes)

Total Voters: 543

As expected, most of you publish your digital photographs somewhere online. What I did find a little surprising was how many of you actually make prints of your photographs and/or make something creative with them.

This week’s poll is more of a feedback poll regarding our Twitter account. Basically, we’re currently tweeting a new message every two hours, and I wanted to know whether it’s too much, too little, or just right.

How many times should PetaPixel tweet every day? (Currently 7-10)

  • 1-2 (51 Votes)
  • 3-4 (69 Votes)
  • 5-6 (57 Votes)
  • 7-8 (59 Votes)
  • 9-10 (41 Votes)
  • 11-12 (38 Votes)

Total Voters: 314

Thanks for the feedback!

I think the frequency is fine. It would only be a problem if you switched to doing something like mass tweeting your last 10 entries at once.

  2. Jonathan says:

I didn't vote. You shouldn't have a set number. You should tweet as often as you have QUALITY things to tweet about.

  3. Ken Rachynski says:

I second that you should tweet as often as you have QUALITY things to tweet about.

  4. Michael says:

I did vote, but I also agree with Jonathan. Quality is better than quantity. However, if you tweet more than 10 unique tweets a day I'll probably unfollow. Too much info. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't tweet the same post twice (see Guy Kawasaki for reasoning) so long as you are trying to communicate with people all around the world

I feel that tweeting when you have something to offer is valuable. trying for 10 when there is nothing but trash is a wast of everyone's time and limiting it when there are treasures is not of use either. anywhere from 1-infinity of good tweet works for me.

You tweet level is fine! I enjoy the article I find through your tweets.
I say tweet as much as you are doing already.

  7. Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone!

Basically my goal is to never tweet anything that's a waste of our followers' time. I was just wondering whether the current rate of tweets is too much, too little, or just right. :-)

The thing is your tweets are almost always interesting for me (even those e.g. links to “just one funny picture”), but if too many of them come every day, I’d have to consider unsubscribing your tweet to keep my productivity above zero ;-)
