Through her blog, Making Happy, Gayla was an early inspiration to me when I started getting seriously back into photography in 2004 after a long absence. She introduced me indirectly to the joys of plastic and square format photography. For that, I am forever grateful. I had the pleasure of spending a day with her and Davin when they came to Chicago for one of her You Grow Girl events.
