You need a recent version of Bridge (CS3 or CS4) and of ACR, probably at least ACR 4.3 or later.

Nice demonstration with clear explanations. I think it’s worth pointing out that it’s all too easy to ‘over-edit’ images, which makes particularly useful to work on a copy and even – for important old images – to open and save each separate edit, because there is no history log to undo mistakes once you make changes in ACR and open the file. Fortunately, Lightroom does have an undo history.

In Lightroom, selecting an image and pressing ctrl/cmd + the apostrophe key creates a virtual image which you can play around with, leaving the original untouched. The original and modified images are conveniently displayed side-by-side in the filmstrip, making it much easier to compare and, if necessary, backtrack.

One of my favourite “tricks” in ACR and in Lightroom is to recover blue skies, which can be easily blown out in brightly-lit images. In ACR, click on the fourth tab (HSL / Greyscale), then click on the Luminance tab and adjust the blues and Aquas slides to the left for darker skies. The same approach can be applied to any other washed out colour (such as the green in your tennis ball example). There is an almost identical feature in the Develop module in Lightroom.

www.photoblog.com/revenant

How did you make that option appear, because I can't open a JPEG picture as a RAW one:(
